National Strokeplay Senior Grade Latest

6.30pm 

All over, John Walsh is the champion and only the third man in history to do the National Matchplay and National Strokeplay double in the one year as his total of -15 gives him a four shot victory over John Ross Crangle, Junior Smith and Kieran Earls who all finished on -11. John Ross gets second on countback with Junior getting the bronze medal on countback from Kieran who is automatic for next year's event by virtue of his fourth place finish. More info to follow! 

6.25pm 

John Walsh shoots a final round of six under par to take the lead now on -15. Conor McCarthy has level par to finish on -7 for the event. 

6.20pm 

Junior Smith shoots a final round of four under par to finish on -11 for the tournament alongside JR Crangle. John Walsh on final green, looking good for the win! 

6.05pm 

Ray Murphy shoots a final round of three under to finish the tournament on -8. A one under par round for Martin O'Neill sees him finish on -6. 

5.55pm 

Damien Fleming finishes tournament on -9, Kieran Dunscombe becomes the fifth player so far to post a final total of -5!

Mick Fennell and Eoin Walsh both finish on -5 for the tournament as well. Jason Larkin finishes on a tournament total of +1. John Ross Crangle has a final round of -7 to post a clubhouse lead of -11. Kieran Earls leader on course with -13.

John Walsh -2 for his nine holes (-11 for tournament) , Conor McCarthy -1 for his round. Kieran Earls -3 for his nine (-13 for tournament). Chris Gallagher level through nine holes.
