III IRISH INTERNATIONAL OPEN

The third Irish International Pitch and Putt Open will take place at the Deerpark Pitch and Putt Club, Killarney, Co. Kerry from the 15th to 17th of April. The initial closing date for receipt of entries is the 25th February, this will enable the organisers the chance to estimate the numbers attending from other FIPPA associations. The final closing date will be the 4th March.

The players who have pre-entered will be given first preference and will be guaranteed entry (Overseas Players). If a FIPPA association exceeds its limit of places, every effort will be made to accommodate these players should there be vacancies from other FIPPA associations.

Participants:

  • 10 players from each FIPPA association
  • 34 places reserved for affiliated members of the PPUI
  • 10 places reserved as invitations for the hosting club Deerpark
  • 8 places reserved on behalf of PPUI
  • 2 places reserved for current Irish Open holders (Lady & Gent if they enter)

The Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland will determine which 8 players will have direct entry. Other places for local participation will be determined by means of an Open Qualifying Competition. The qualifying will take place on the 19th March. An estimated 108 players will take part in the Open to be played over 54 holes.

Rules

The normal Rules and Regulations in accordance with Rules of FIPPA will apply. The format will be 54 holes Strokeplay (Scratch).

Entry Fee

The Entry Fee will be €75. This will include lunch on Saturday and Sunday as well as a tournament memento and free practice rounds


Qualifying Round (Irish Players only) €20. Balance of Entry Fee to be Paid on qualification (€55).

Additional Practice Rounds:

Monday 11th April – Thursday 14th April: Deerpark will not be charging competitors for practice rounds (note: practice rounds are weather permitting)
