PPUI SUMMER CAMPS 2010
Twenty-Five children participated in the inaugural PPUI Summer Camp at Douglas in July 2009
In July 2009, the inaugural PPUI Summer Camp took place at the Douglas Pitch and Putt club in Cork. The camp was seen as a pilot project
with a view to expanding the scheme for 2010. The camp was a great success with excellent feedback coming from
both the children and their parents.
Following on from this success, it has been decided to expand the programme for 2010 throughout the country. Over the course
of July and August, the PPUI will hold 7 week long camps at the following locations:

The camps will run from Monday - Friday each week and from 10am to 2.30pm each day.
The camps are open to boys and girls aged from 8-13 of all ability levels. The overall aim of the week is to develop Pitch and Putt skills while having fun.
PPUI coaches will be on hand
to help improve each child's game. There will be plenty of fun activities all week and the visit to a nearby
club provides the children with a chance to test themselves on a new course. At the end of the week each child will receive a commemorative polo shirt and a sleeve of golf balls.
